Palm Bay, FL – Mr. Salvador "Shorty" Crespo, 88, formerly of Waterbury, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, at Vitas Innovative Hospice at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Rosa (Medero) Crespo. Salvador was born June 20, 1936, I Camuy, Puerto Rico, son of the late Acevedo and Juana Crespo Acevedo. Salvador worked for many years at Anchor Fasteners, following his retirement he kept busy with small construction jobs. He will be remembered for humor and his ever-present smile and his love for "his island". He is survived by his children, Jose Crespo of Waterbury, Rosa Batista of FL, Felix Crespo of Waterbury and Eric Crespo of Waterbury; eleven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings. Calling hours will be held on Monday evening, December 30, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Burial will be private.
