Waterbury- Mrs. Sherife Bojka, 87, died Thursday, August 2, at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. She was the widow of Dervish Bojka.
Mrs. Bojka was born April 15, 1925 in Debrov, Albania, daughter of the late Raman and Meleke Baramaj. She escaped from Albania in 1953, settling in Yugoslavia; in 1967 she moved to Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1968, settling in Waterbury.
She is survived by four sons, Sami Bojka of Prospect, Pullum Bojka of Cheshire, Dylber Bojka of Wallingford and Qani Bojka of Wallingford; two brothers and one sister in Albania; fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: Family and friends are asked to gather at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury on Saturday morning, August 4, at 10:30 A.M. to leave in procession for New Pine Grove Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. for prayers and burial. Calling hours are today from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
