Waterbury – Sherry Lynn "Dollie" Knipstein, 68, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018.

Sherry was born in Portland, OR on December 1, 1949 to Robert and Virginia (Bruder) Sikele. She was well known for entertaining at children's birthday parties as Dollie the Clown. She also had previously worked at Waterbury Vital Statistics. She loved cats and tending to her flower beds.

Sherry is survived by her son, Christopher Knipstein, and his wife, Tracey; her step-daughter, Renee Leinfelder; her brother, Barney Vinson, of Las Vegas; her grandchildren, Kristine Knipstein, and Arian Knipstein; her partner, Peter Leinfelder; her former husband, Dewayne Knipstein; and her cousin, Wilma Bosch, of AZ. She was predeceased by her sister, Andy.

Services for Sherry will be held privately.
