Waterbury – Steven P. Yanavich, 73, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 1, with Christine by his side. Steven was born December 27, 1950 in Waterbury, son of the late Peter and Alice (Hatch) Yanavich. Raised in Waterbury he attended local schools and was a graduate of Crosby High School. He went on to serve honorably in the United States Army, stationed in Korea. He retired from Andy's Oil where her drove a delivery truck. He is survived by his significant other of thirteen years, Christine Cianciolo with whom he lived; his brother, Edward Yanavich of Oakville; his son, his daughter and a sister. A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Friday, September 6, at 11:00 A.M. at the Queen Peace Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. There are no calling hours.
