Waterbury – William M. Drew, 95, passed away on Thursday, December 19, at Vitas Innovative Hospice at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Donna (Dyson) Drew. Bill was born October 13, 1929, in Waterbury, son of the late Edward and Anna (Doolan) Druan. Raised in Waterbury he had attended local schools. After his retirement as a machinist, he worked at St. John's Episcopal Church in Waterbury well into his 80's, he did maintenance and helped with the soup kitchen. He was known as a "pool shark" and was an avid golfer. He is survived by his daughter, Tina Drew of Cheshire; his brother, Robert Druan of Middlebury; his nephew Anthony Colangelo of Middlebury; his sister-in-law, Patricia Druan of Waterbury and several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Olive, Teddy, Gertrude, John, Harold, Michael, Shirley and Thomas. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28, at 11:00 A.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Friends may visit with Bill's family from 9:00 A.M. until time of service.
