Middlebury- Mr. William F. Nolan, 74, beloved husband of Joan (Barbiero) Nolan, died at his home on Monday, June 23, after a lengthy illness.

Born February 21, 1940, he was the son of the late William J. and Evelyn (Seery) Nolan. A graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Bill then enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served as a radar man on the naval destroyer, U.S.S. Cassin Young. Afterward, he turned his lifelong passion for hunting, archery and the outdoors into the Bullseye Gun Shop, a full service sporting goods store which he owned for over two decades. He was a lifelong member of the Chase Rifle and Pistol Club. In later years he loved spending time with his family skiing and playing golf.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his daughter, Alana Nolan of Washington, DC and his son, Scott Nolan and his wife Susan of Franklin, MA; his brothers, Gregg Nolan of Wolcott and Kim Nolan of Norton, MA and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 28, at 11:00 A.M. at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St. Waterbury. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
