Waterbury – Zulma Morales, 61, of Waterbury, passed away on January 9, 2023 at Hartford Hospital. Zulma was born on January 27, 1961 in Penuelas, Puerto Rico, daughter of Luis F. Morales and Herminia Torres. Zulma was a woman of faith and was very active in the church. She cherished the time she was able to spend with her loving family. Zulma is survived by her children, Jose Vargas and his wife Cyndelee, Sherrielee Vargas, and Elba M. Vargas; 5 grandchildren, Elijah Ormezzano, Jocelyn D. Ormezzano, Luis A Diaz, Melanie Diaz; and Zayden Vargas; her sister Awilda Morales; as well as three more siblings. She was predeceased by her longtime husband Manual Vargas. Visitation is Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main St., Waterbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the Shrine of St. Anne, 515 S Main St. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
