Alba O. Lopez

Waterbury – Alba O. Lopez, 83, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020.

Alba was born in Tarso, Columbia on July 8, 1937, daughter of Juan Sebastian Pareja and Rosa Laura Agudelo. She was an amazing person and created such a strong loving family. At the center of her heart was the love she has for God, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her love for them was immeasurable. All she ever wanted in life was for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to Love God, and to be happy.  

Alba leaves behind her children, Maribel Cheverez and her husband, Carmelo; Al Lopez Jr., and his wife, Karin; and Patty Betancourt, and her husband, Daniel; her brother, Luis Felipe Agedelo; her grandchildren, Crystal Compton; Catalino Zayas IV; Vanessa Marie Zayas; Natalie Cheverez; Mackenzie Lyon; Spencer Lyon; Joseph Russo; Victoria Elizabeth Beckett; Nicholas Betancourt; Daniel Betancourt Jr.; and Mariah Danielle Betancourt; her great grandchildren, Jacob Anthony Compton; Jose Manuel Rivera; and Gabriela Carvalho; and other beloved family members.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, December 23 at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 W. Main St., Waterbury. Meet directly at church. Burial will be held at a later date.

Masks and social distancing are required during the service.
