Waterbury – Angelita Calderon, 81, of Waterbury, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was the widow of Mr. Victor Calderon.
Angelita was born on October 2, 1936 in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Jose Gonzalez and Maria Perez. Angelita enjoyed cooking, dancing, crocheting, knitting, and cherished the time she was able to spend with her loving children and grandchildren.
Angelita is survived by her four children, Albin Colon and his wife Deidre, George Colon and his wife Yolanda, Yvonne Cruz and her husband John; and Edgar Calderon; her siblings, Emerita Gonzalez, Carlos Gonzalez, and Pedro Gonzalez; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; and her special niece, Jackie Claudio.
Family and friends may call on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main St., Waterbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Shrine of St. Anne’s, 515 S Main St. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
