Mr Frederick J. Mrazik

Waterbury – Mr. Frederick J. Mrazik, Jr, 91, passed away on Monday, August 6.
He was the husband of the late June (Reed) Mrazik.

Fred was born October 3, 1926 in Waterbury, son of the late Frederick J. and Elsie (Barnes) Mrazik, Sr. Raised in Waterbury he attended local schools and was a graduate of Leavenworth High School. He had served honorably in the United States Navy during WWII. He had been employed with A.W. Haydon Company until they moved to Cheshire and eventually became known as Airpax, retiring in 1988 as the Quality Assurance Manager.

He is survived by five sons, Brian R. Mrazik and his wife Dawn of NH, James F. Mrazik and his wife Linda of FL, Michael C. Mrazik and his wife Kathleen of Wolcott, Jeffrey W. Mrazik and his wife Gloria of ME and Steven F. Mrazik and his wife LaVonne of CO; one daughter, Amy B. Brick and her husband Gregory of Woodbury; 22 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Charles Cornell and John Mrazik and his sister, Elsie Kelly.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Village at East Farms for the care given to their father.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 8, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday at St. Pius X Church, Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown.
