Waterbury – Mrs. Gertrude M. (Summa) Brouillard, 87, passed away on Tuesday evening, October 1, at her home. She was the wife of Edgar J. Brouillard.
Mrs. Brouillard was born August 9, 1932 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Brunelli) Summa. A lifelong resident of Waterbury she had been employed at the Scovill Manufacturing Company, retiring from Century Brass Products. She was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
In addition to her husband she leaves her loving family. Two sons, David R. Brouillard and his wife Terri of Naugatuck and Joseph E. Brouillard and his wife Shirley of Bristol; two daughters, Rosemarie Grossmann and her husband Dennis of Berkley, MI and Janet A. Petrucci and her husband Mark of Middlebury; one brother, William Summa of FL; one sister, Rosemary Stanton of Waterbury; nine grandchildren, Michelle, Janna, Melissa, Elizabeth, Christina, David, Jr, Jaime, Nickie and Kevin; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 4, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 785 Highland Ave. Waterbury. Entombment will follow in Calvary Garden Mausoleum.
