Obituary
Waterbury- Mr. Herbert P. Farrell, Jr, 68, died Monday morning, May 21, at the Veterans Hospital in West Haven.
Mr. Farrell was born December 17, 1943 in Waterbury son of the late Herbert P. and Ann (Russell) Farrell, Sr. Herbert was raised in Thomaston and attended local schools, graduating from the Thomaston High School. He served honorably in the United States Air Force from September 1962 until his discharge on October 27, 1966. He was an active volunteer with Coast Guard Auxiliary for over 40 years.
He is survived by four brothers, Paul Farrell of Enfield, Peter Farrell of Cromwell, John Farrell of Medford, MA and James Farrell of Meriden; two sisters, Sylvia L Barbati of Bristol and Margaret McDonald of New Hartford and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. from the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. to St. Margaret's Church for Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 A.M. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until time to leave for mass at 10:00 A.M.
