Waterbury – John E. Zammit, 58, passed away on Thursday, February 24, at Waterbury Gardens.
John was born November 9, 1963 in the Bronx, New York, son of the late John E. and Frances (Johnsky) Zammit. Growing up, before this dreaded disease took over, John loved to draw, he was talented with cartoon characters, he lifted weights, enjoyed martial arts movies, good food and he loved his family and God most of all.
John is already missed by all of his family, he suffered here on earth more than most, so now our hearts tell us he is living the Abundant Life, and that makes all very happy.
John is survived by his sisters, Rebecca Delio of Virginia Beach, VA, Harriet Diaz of Middletown and Debra Colon of Wilmington, NC and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Elaine Romberg.
The family would like to thank Dr. Silverman, John’s long time Pulmonologist and great supporter for life for John. The staff of South 2 at Waterbury Garden, especially Dee and her activities group. God bless you all.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception on Friday, March 11, at 1:30 P.M. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery.
