Joseph W. Gasparri

Waterbury – Mr. Joseph W. Gasparri, 97, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, at the Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of the late Lucy (Donofrio) Gasparri.

Joseph was born November 16, 1920 in Waterbury, son of the late Desiderio and Clotilda (Fiore) Gasparri. Raised in Waterbury he attended local schools and was a graduate of Leavenworth High School. Joe had served honorably in the United States Navy during WWII. He worked with his late brother, Eugene, at the family construction company for many years as a heavy equipment operator, E. Gasparri Construction and Trucking, a company founded by their father in 1910. He retired from the City of Waterbury as a supervisor in the street department.

He is survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to thank Rita Jamele and Rowena White for the care given to their Uncle Joe.

Entombment in Queen of Peace Mausoleum in the Calvary Cemetery is private.
