Mr Mehmetali Xhuti

Waterbury – Mehmetali Xhuti, 88, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020. He was the husband of Sadet Xhuti.

Mehmetali was born in Zvezde, Albania on March 27, 1932, son of Bexhet and Zarife (Kutro) Xhuti. He worked in construction and farming in Albania before moving to America in 2000. Mehmetali was a hardworking, family man with a good heart. He enjoyed the outdoors, taking walks, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Including his wife, Sadet, he leaves behind his children, Mimoza Latifi, and her husband, Tahir; Alfred Xhuti, and his wife, Zhuljeta; and Zarife Xhaci, and her husband, Hasan; his siblings, Zydie Malelli; Enver Xhuti; and Servet Xhuti; 4 granddaughters; 2 grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by 2 sisters.

A walk-through visitation will be held on Monday, December 21 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main Street, Waterbury. Once you have paid your respects, you are kindly asked to leave so more people may enter. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. from the funeral home, to Pine Grove Cemetery for graveside prayers at 11:00 a.m.
