Waterbury – Peter C. Hayes, 82, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Hayes.
Peter was born in Waterbury on December 29, 1938, son of John and Beatrice (Clark) Hayes. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for his brother’s business, John Hayes & Sons (Tom’s Snacks) for many years. Peter enjoyed going for his daily walks and having a beer with his buddies. He also loved the Boston Red Sox and Frank Sinatra.
Peter leaves behind his daughters, Barbara Killianey, and her husband, Dennis, of NC; Ann Doherty, of NC; and Lynne O’Farrell, of TX; his sister, Betty Radun; and his extended family.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 11 at 11:00 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery, 2324 East Main Street, Waterbury.
