Waterbury – Mr. Richard F. Fahy, 75, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 after a lengthy illness.
Richard was born March 19, 1948, in Waterbury, son of the late Francis M. Sr and Monica (Delaney) Fahy. Raised in Waterbury, he was a Boy Scout having achieved the level of Eagle Scout, attended local schools and was a graduate of Crosby High School having received an associate degree from Mattatuck Community College.
For twenty-five years Richard worked as master plumber for the family business, MJ Fahy and Sons and there after as owner of R. Fahy Plumbing. Richard will be remembered for his love of classic cars, especially vintage Corvette’s and music having been a big Beach Boys fan and enjoyed taking family and friends water skiing on his boat. Richard’s love of family was fundamental to how he lived his life. He will be sorely missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his son, Ryan C. Fahy; his daughter, Cara Fahy; brother, Francis M. Fahy, Jr and his wife Christine; three sisters, Kathleen Fahy, Nancy Ongley and Maureen Fahy and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Monday morning, November 13, from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury, a Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:30 A.M. at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Oakville. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
