Waterbury – Mr. Robert D. Dinsmore, 69, passed away on Sunday morning, May 16, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Robert was born April 4, 1952 in Derby, son of the late David and Muriel (Aldred) Dinsmore. Raised in Ansonia, he attended local schools and was a graduate of Ansonia High School. He had retired from the City of Waterbury where he had worked at the waste treatment plant for many years. He was an avid New York Yankee and Cleveland Browns fan and will be remembered as a wonderful cook and for his large vegetable garden.
He is survived by his son, Ryan Robert Dinsmore of Naugatuck; his daughter, Emily A. Zimmerman and her husband Kevin of Cheshire; his grandchildren, Landen, Caden and Keeley; his sisters, Kathleen Chmura of Northford and Sue Behun of Ansonia; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 21, at the Church of the Assumption 61 N. Cliff St. Ansonia. (For the safety of the family and their friends all Covid 19 precautions will still be enforced) Burial will be private.
