Robert M. Hartigan
August 20, 1943 ~ March 10, 2019 (age 75) 75 Years Old
Wolcott – Robert M. Hartigan, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Hartford Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of June (Post) Hartigan for 36 years.
Robert was born in Middletown on August 20, 1943 to the late James and Nanetta (Canata) Hartigan. He worked for various manufacturing companies, including Airpax, before retiring from Smith Renaud. Bob loved golf, which he played often, and also enjoyed baseball. He was a Boston Red Sox and NY Giants fan. Bob loved spending time with his friends; and especially looked forward to watching his grandchildren play baseball during their trips to Florida.
Including his wife, June, Bob is survived by his sons, Jay Hartigan, and his wife, Barbara; and Lee Hartigan, and his wife, Kathy, all of FL; his daughter, Dr. Lisa Bosinger, and her husband, Steve, of ME; his stepson, Steve Dubish, and his wife, Lisa, of NC; his brother, James Hartigan, of Middletown; his sister, Nanette Prue, of Middletown; his grandchildren, Jessica, Braden, Owen, Mitchell, Scott, Kaitlyn, Alison, Ryan, and Alexander; his niece, Patricia Greco, of Middletown, his great nephews, Jordan Greco, and his wife, Shelby; and Justin Greco; and his brother in law, George Kozlow, of FL.
He was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Polselli.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 18 at 10:00 a.m. at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 W. Main St., Waterbury. Friends may visit with family from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 E. Main St., Waterbury, before proceeding to church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
