Waterbury – Sarah Ann Keliher, 78, of Waterbury, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Apple Rehab in Watertown.
Sarah was born on July 22, 1942 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Vincent and Sarah (Fitzgerald) Keliher. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Croft High School. Sarah worked as an administrative assistant in Waterbury City Hall for a number of different Mayors throughout the years and was most proud of the two terms she served under Mayor Edward D. Bergin. She retired from the purchasing department for the City of Waterbury after 33 years of service. Sarah enjoyed day trips and her vacations in Clinton with family. She was extremely proud of her Irish Heritage.
She is survived by her daughter, Mari Anne Keliher; and her sister, Judy Keliher ,which whom she made her home. She was predeceased by her longtime companion Nunzio Pastore.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, August 23, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main St., Waterbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 W Main St. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
