Mrs Sharon A. Hanlon

Waterbury – Mrs. Sharon A. (Pettit) Hanlon, 69, passed away on Thursday, February 28, at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by those that loved her. She was the wife of David C. Hanlon.

Sharon was born July 23, 1949 in Waterbury, daughter of the late William D. and Helen (Byrnes) Pettit. A lifelong resident of Waterbury she was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church. She will be remembered as the family matriarch who loved her family and took care of everyone. She loved reading and writing poetry and had three of her poems published.

In addition to her husband David, she is survived by three daughters, Sheri L. Nageotte and her husband Robert, Vicki L. Bell and Bobbi J. Ferreira all of Waterbury; one son, Jose Abraham of Waterbury; two sisters, Patti and Mary; four grandchildren, Tailor and husband Dane, Jordan, Isaac, Cheyanne and Kaigan; two great-grandchildren, Evalynn and Cason and many nieces, nephews and close friends, especially noting her forever friends Lee and husband Ron and Anna. She was predeceased by her son Mario; her brother William and sister Susan.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 5, at 11:00 A.M. at the Lighthouse Baptist Church 668 Lakewood Rd. Waterbury. The family will greet friends at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
