Tribute

Waterbury – Sherry A. Scarduzio, 64, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020. She was the loving wife of Joseph J. Scarduzio for 38 years.

Sherry was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on November 24, 1955, daughter of Joseph and she worked as a nursing home health aide, but most importantly sacrificed her career path as a potential nurse to become a devoted mother of six children for over 40 years of her life.

Sherry was an avid reader and had an intense love for animals especially dogs and horses. She loved to horseback ride, ski, travel, and enjoyed herself some 70s and 80s rock music. She will be most remembered for her free-spirited mindset, selflessness, and her ability to continue loving those things/people close to her that she held dearly, despite her unfortunate circumstances. For those sacrifices, and her unwavering love and support for her children and grandchildren, she will be dearly missed by all that knew her and never forgotten.

Including her husband, Joseph, Sherry will be missed by her children, Holly Nichols; Joseph Nichols; Andrew Scarduzio, and his wife, Aimee LaChance; and her daughter Aimee Scarduzio, and her husband, James McCulloch; her son Maximillian Scarduzio; and son Noah Manny; and her grandchildren, Emily Nichols; James McCulloch, Jr.; Natalie McCulloch; and Celeste Scarduzio.

A calling hour will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 1, at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main Street, Waterbury. A funeral home service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. Masks and social distancing are required during attendance.
