Shontel M. Dawkins

Waterbury – Shontel M. Dawkins, 32, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 7.

Shontel was born in Waterbury on October 7, 1990 , daughter of Jose Toro and Dana Dawkins Iverson of Waterbury. She was a unique and caring individual who touched the lives of everyone that knew her. A beautiful soul that smiled and lit up any room she was in. Raised in Waterbury she attended local schools and was a graduate of Wilby High School, class of 2009. She will be remembered as a wonderful and loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend.

In addition to her parents she is survived by Bruce Iverson her loving father; her one and only son, Naszair Potts of Waterbury; her older brother Tyjuan Dawkins and his wife Jenny Martinez of Waterbury and her youngest brother Devonte Iverson of CA; two sisters, Francheska Colon of PR and Megan Toro of MA; her maternal grandmother, Frankie Moore of Waterbury; her paternal grandmother, Confe Beltran of PR; her nieces, Zarnay, Zaniya, Zareya, Cheeky and Kaylani; one nephew, Luis Fabian; one great-niece, Kataleya Dawkins and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends

Services will be held on Friday, August 18 at 11:00 A.M. at the Rehoboth Church of God in Christ 101 East Farm St. Waterbury. Friends may visit with Shontel’s family from 9:00 A.M. until time of service. Burial will be private. A repast will be held at Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church 8 East Mountain Rd. Waterbury, from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
