Sonia Luz Torres

Waterbury – Sonia Luz Torres, 54, of Waterbury, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at her home. 

Sonia was born on May 14, 1967 in Waterbury, daughter of Luz Torres and Bernarbino Torres. Sonia was an avid reader, loved watching movies, and enjoyed listening to music. She cherished the time she was able to spend with her loving family. Constantly encouraging others to do better and spreading positivity and happiness to those who knew her best.

Sonia leaves behind her children William Torres, Joseph Taschereau, and Erika Taschereau; sisters, Marisol Torres and Malta Aponte; her brother Wilfredo Torres; eight grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Family and friends may call on Monday June 14, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 E. Main St., Waterbury. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 15 at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury.
