Waterbury – Thomas H. Druan, 83, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Hughes) Druan for 56 years.
Thomas was born in Waterbury, on April 30, 1934 to the late Edward and Anna (Doolan) Druan. He worked for Risdon Manufacturing as a machinist for over 20 years before retiring. He was a Yankees fan, and loved visiting the casino, taking trips, and going on cruises. Thomas also enjoyed sitting on the front porch and socializing with people walking by. He will be missed dearly.
Including his wife, Patricia, Thomas is survived by his sons, Thomas J. Druan; and Kevin E. Druan, both of Waterbury; his daughter, Susan E. Venanzi, and her husband, Kevin, of Wolcott; his brothers, William Drew; and Robert Druan; his sister, Shirley Labonte; his sister in law, Elaine Hughes; his grandchildren, Kevin and Dylan Venanzi; and many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Thomas was predeceased by his brothers, Edward, John, Harold, and Michael Druan; and his sisters, Olive Colangelo, and Gertrude Druan.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 2, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main Street, Waterbury. A funeral home service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. Friends and family may arrive at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in New St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
