Watertown – Mr. William A. Nardozzi, 72, passed away in his sleep due to natural causes, at his home on Sunday, March 22. He was the husband of Meg (Gilland) Nardozzi.

Bill was born July 18, 1947 in Waterbury, son of the late William and Emma (DeLeo) Nardozzi. Raised in Waterbury he attended local schools and was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, class of 1965. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in math from Sacred Heart University and received his Master’s Degree in Math from Fairfield University. He began his teaching career at Holy Cross High School and then Wilby High School. From there Bill went on to the United States Post Office where he worked for many years as a customer service manager, upon his retirement from the Post Office he went back to his teaching career at Kennedy High School and was currently teaching at Naugatuck Valley Community College.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his son, Paul W. Nardozzi and his wife Elizabeth of East Greenwich, RI; his daughter, Sarah E. Bhatt and her husband Deven of Eastchester, NY; his sister, Paula (Nardozzi) Guarino and her husband Pat of Waterbury; his five grandchildren, Asha, Ravi, Grace, Brady and Ruby; his sister-in-law, Ann Candido and her husband Michael of FL; his nieces and nephews, Chris Guarino, Marc Guarino, Lisa Campion, Amy Candido, Jeffrey Candido and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Maci.

“He may not have been the one to change the world. He may not have belonged to the few that put a ding in the universe. He may not have been something the whole world would celebrate. But…in the little corners that he lived, in the lives that he played a part in, he was, and always will be, nothing but unforgettable.”

A Mass of Christian burial at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, followed by burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery will be held on a date and time to be announced.
